Tappo: An Italian Delight


Believe it or not, one of my favorite activities is eating out! I would argue with just about anyone that Buffalo, New York has the best food. I enjoy trying all different unique restaurants (as well as events with food), whether downtown or on the outskirts of the city! One of my favorite, if not my favorite, restaurants in Buffalo is Tappo. The restaurant is located in the heart of downtown Buffalo, at 338 Ellicott St. Each time I go there, I am thoroughly satisfied with the delicious food, as well as the exceptional service. 

If you enjoy a tasty and authentic quality Italian dinner, then you will certainly want to check out Tappo! They serve a variety of heavenly Italian appetizers, entrees and desserts. My personal favorite entree is the meat and cheese lasagna, topped with their delicious sauce. The restaurant is also known for their wide selection of wine.

In addition, the atmosphere really makes this restaurant a great attraction and experience. During the summer, the open garage door really gives the restaurant a cool, vibrant city feel. On a nice day, you can even enjoy seating on the rooftop overlooking the city street. The crowd is always quite large, inviting and busy. The decor adds flavor to the quality food, and gives the restaurant a warm Italian touch. The theme of corks and wine throughout the restaurant gives hint to the name of the restaurant, which is Italian for cork.

The affordable prices, the enticing atmosphere and the quality service truly make the customer experience highly satisfying. Not to mention, the incredible food will never disappoint your taste buds or leave you with an empty stomach. They seek to bring the people of Buffalo a true Italian culture, and that is just what they do!

    Love, love, love this place! Really good, authentic Italian food. Try the panzanella salad for starts. Best part- very reasonably priced. Friday nights are hopping, so make a reservation or you may have to wait .... And while doing so, have a cocktail on the roof!

    This blog post made me remember how much I love Tappo! With so many new restaurants opening up Tappo has been long forgotten in my head. This post makes me want to go there this weekend end enjoy some yummy Italian food.

    This blog has a very well developed theme and message, and this post really reflects this. It's very well written and very interesting. I also love the title and overall layout and aesthetic of the blog, it's obvious that a lot of care and thought went into this. My only comment is that I might bold the blog description so it stands out from the very graphic heavy background. Otherwise this a very well done blog, I've also always wanted to try Tappo but didn't know much about it. As a mildly Italian person, I'm now convinced that I have to go.

Blackthorn Restaurant and Pub: South Buffalo's Best

Wow. That was the first word that came out of my mouth after taking a bite into a mouthwatering pulled pork sandwich, smothered in cheddar cheese and topped with coleslaw and fried onions compressed between 2 softly toasted rolls….  That was a mouthful (no pun intended).  I then proceeded to try the homemade jalapeno cheddar tater tots.  I was overwhelmed by a combination of flavors like nothing I had tasted before, and I was thoroughly impressed. All items listed under the "house favorites" section on the menu are served with this Blackthorn original favorite. The best way to describe these jalapeno cheddar tater tots would be warm, cheesy, jalapeno-flavored potato-centered balls fried in breadcrumbs. They are to die for!
